Journey to the East

Uncovered from Carleton’s archive, the travels of two Carleton students through Sichuan, China in 1938-1939 are brought to life by creating a map of their journey along with a digital collection of their letters, photos, and videos. Through the use of digital tools and techniques, we transformed a collection of physical artifacts into an interactive and immersive online experience. Our project not only celebrates the legacy of these two travelers, but also demonstrates the power of digital technology to preserve and share history.
